Taxie: Rock Don’t Stop
As announced during a recent NTS Radio set with Four Tet, UK producer Floating Points (aka Sam Shepherd) is launching a new record label in the new year. Called Melodies, the Eglo Records sub-label will focus on some of the disco, funk and boogie tunes he plays at his You’re A Melody night at London’s underground club, Plastic People. First up for the imprint will be a reissue of Taxie’s “Rock Don’t Stop“—a rare 1979 soul groove from Archwood Records. Those in the Big Smoke can catch the next You’re A Melody evening this Thursday, 11 December, for a taste of what’s to come in 2015.
