Customizable and Affordable: UNDONE Watches

A young brand successfully blending traditional watchmaking, modern-day tech and approachable luxury

Sponsored by UNDONE

Combining traditional watchmaking techniques with current-day tech, UNDONE might have been founded just four years ago, but it has highly knowledgable industry veterans at the helm. With experienced craftspeople, designers and programmers working on each piece (all of which are made in-house from premium components), every single watch is made-to-order and of the highest possible quality—yet they are impressively affordable for automatic and mechanical-quartz hybrid timepieces, starting at around $265. With a few base models, UNDONE watches are also customizable—there are several cases, bezels, dials, hands, straps and more—thanks to founder Michael Young’s philosophy around luxury.

Young (who also leads the team at Classic Watch Repair, where he built a respected reputation among watch collectors) believes that “luxury” as a term lost its true meaning, and many mistake it for items simply wildly expensive. His theory (and that of the brand as a whole), however, is that true luxury is about power and freedom—the power and freedom to have a product crafted just for you.

With base designs for every taste—from vintage influences to military styling and modern-day minimalism—there’s a watch (or three) for everybody, of all genders. While we’re particularly fond of the all-black Urban Modern (with a 40mm 316L stainless steel case), we also love the classic Mystique in Mercury—with its artisan-crafted gradient dial.

Between making custom, quality watches more accessible and affordable, the brand is helping the industry to evolve as well. In fact, the team at UNDONE makes an experience that might seem intimidating actually approachable and enjoyable for its customers.

UNDONE watches are available online, with various customization options.
