The concept behind Swipple is so simple, it makes you wonder why there aren't more sites like it. An online art gallery that exhibits the work of different artists from a wide range of styles, it's easy to navigate, simple to browse, and light on pretension. It lets the art sell itself — just like a good gallery should.
There's a Swipple Shop "because we enjoy the occasional trip down to the post office," the website quips, that sells a handful of products, but otherwise it's pretty straight forward. But don't take our word for it, go see for yourself.
Oh, and Swipple doesn't just exist for the digirati; there's a show coming up in NYC for those of you in the Eastern Timezone.
That's right: More than a dozen Swipple artists will be featured at Max Fish (178 Ludlow Street, Manhattan) during the month of February. A reception will be held from 6 to 10pm Wednesday, 1 February. See the flyer after the jump.
