Infinite Transition: A Sonic Offering for Trans Lifeline
A multi-media fundraising project combines visual art and dance music to support trans lives

Created as part of a SoundCloud fundraiser in support of Trans Lifeline, Infinite Transition is a collaborative project that brings together visual art, music and community care. Designed by MI Leggett of Official Rebrand, the artwork draws from the transformational power of sound and the dance floor as a space of both self-recognition and collective connection.
The t-shirt (sold exclusively on the SoundCloud Store) graphic merges classic and contemporary styles: ASCII art, halftone gradients, divine proportions and warped text shaped into waveforms. At its center, a butterfly emerges mid-shift, part human, part signal. It serves as a visual metaphor for the way trans life often moves between nature and technology, form and flux. Like a DJ set, it is the transitions between genres, bodies and modes of expression that shape the narrative.

Leggett, who founded Official Rebrand in Berlin and now works in New York, has long used fashion as a medium for reclaiming space and materials. Their anti-waste label transforms discarded garments into one-off pieces and the dance floor has become a recurring test site for new ideas.

Alongside the fundraiser, Leggett is also sharing a curated playlist of mixes by trans and gender nonconforming DJs. Pulled from their mix series, the sets reflect the same themes as the shirt: sound as survival, connection and constant movement. Mixes by Scruff Angel, Kiss Kiss, and S’aint Panic stand out, each one offering a distinct world to step into. The playlist brings the project full circle, grounding the visual in the sonic and offering something to move to.
All proceeds from Infinite Transition go to Trans Lifeline, supporting peer-led services for trans people in moments of need.
