Stocking designer tea towels like Australia’s Third Drawer Down and Unity Peg labels, the couple behind the U.K. purveyor To Dry For bring a little bit of art to everyday objects. Noticing a number of designers creating bright, unconventional tea towels as part of a range of other products, Dave and Sally Emery decided to peddle these alongside their own collection of specially commissioned towels. The textiles serve as affordable and functional art, offering artists “another print medium,” explains Dave.

The Oxford-based duo now curate an extensive collection of colorful and oft-humorous screen-printed tea towels produced in the U.K. by a small, family-run manufacturer. Commissioning both emerging and established artists, the To Dry For collection includes designs from Norwegian studio Darling Clementine, illustrator Gemma Correll and artist Robert Ryan, to name a few.
