Don't get these HoneyBells confused with HoneyBell Tangelos. Though they look like an orange they are a rare and natural hybrid of Dancy Tangerine and Duncan Grapefruit. They are only grown in Florida, and are available only for a few weeks in January/February. They are incredibly juicy and full of flavor. We got our shipment last week at CHHQ and have been dripping on our clothes since.
The Cushman family has been growing these (and other citrus) for more than 60 years. HoneyBells come in a range of packages and sizes, and can be ordered alone or mixed with other citrus from Cushman's. Prices start at $25 for 24 pieces.
The Hale family also grows HoneyBells, which we imagine are also tasty.
