Our friends at Thrillist "a free, 4-times-weekly email that sifts through the crap to find guys the best services, gadgets, gear, bars and restaurants in New York" wrote about the WinePod today.
More than just a home winery, the WinePod experience blends an online user community, expert advice from an on-staff enologist, and sophisticated software to help you understand and inform you about the process and variables of winemaking.
The WinePod holds 100 liters of vino, has a built in wine press, temperature controls, sensors, and wireless monitoring and controls (so you can make wine while you're at work!). The units will cost around $2,000 and will be available in Spring 2006. To get on the waitlist and learn more, check out Mozaic Wine.
