Coal + Otter Wax 5 Panel Hat Collaboration

Two companies from the Pacific Northwest collaborate on a weatherproof cotton cap

Yes, it does rain more often than not in the Pacific Northwest, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get out and enjoy the wilderness. To outfit all-weather adventurers this spring, Seattle-based hat brand Coal teamed up with their Portland neighbors Otter Wax on a limited edition run of 5-panel cotton canvas caps. Riffing off the Richmond design, the minimal collaboration hat features just a small suede label, leaving the clean design to speak for itself. Each hat comes with a bar of Otter Wax, made in a custom size to ensure your cap is properly weatherproofed for those unexpected spring showers.

To show the application process and their work outside the office Coal created a short video. For more information on the Coal + Otter Wax collaboration visit Coal online where the hat is available in both an olive and black colorway for $35.
