Two Boot Collaborations

Chromexcel Horween leather, Vibram soles and more on two picks for the season

For many of us the approaching Fall season comes with wet days and cold nights. To keep your feet dry and toes toasty in the months to come, we’ve selected two new footwear collaborations from some of our favorite US brands. Hailing from the rougher regions of the country, each of these four companies know a thing or two about making quality products that last a lifetime.

Tanner Goods x Danner

Two well-respected companies born and bred in the damp wilderness of the Great Northwest come together again to create a killer new boot. An update on last year’s Lownsdale, the Mountain Trail Left Bank boot is sturdy enough to live up to a lifetime of logging, but fit just as handsomely hitting city streets. The hand-built boot is made in Danner’s Portland factory from Tanner’s Chromexcel Horween leather, and finished with a rugged Vibram sole. Find it at Tanner Goods for $350.

Filson x Wolverine 1000 Mile

Running in the same American Heritage circles as Tanner and Danner, Filson and Wolverine are known for providing real outdoorsman with real, no-nonsense products. We’re loving the new 8-inch Rowan from Wolverine 1000 Mile and Filson. The much-anticipated boot offers a vintage aesthetic executed with proven materials and trusted techniques. Also made in the USA from Horween Chromexcel leather, the sturdy shoe gets its real personality from the heavy Filson cotton twill accent, moc-toe and thick Vibram sole. The Rowan is available this Fall from both Filson and Wolverine for $440. Also check out the Emerson, the second half of the new collaboration.
