The Gilda Radner Great American Series collection
If you know of Gilda Radner’s legacy it needs no introduction. Detroit-based Shinola celebrates the life of their hometown girl with a collection of two watches and a travel jewelry case, with proceeds going to Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, one location of the charity and community organization she founded. If you aren’t familiar with her, she was an iconic comedian that was one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live, from 1975-1980. Diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was 40, she died at 43. Shinola’s collection includes three red pieces, celebrating her favor color—two watches, the Great American Series Runabout 25mm, limited to 300 pieces, the Runwell Automatic 39mm, limited to 400 pieces, and a thoughtfully designed limited edition travel jewelry case. Inside you’ll find a snap-closure strap for earrings, padded ring holder, snap tabs and pockets for necklaces, and a removable pouch.
