Psychedelics Design Awards 2026: Call for Submissions
Now in their second edition, the world’s first design awards dedicated to the psychedelic space are open for submissions across nine categories

Psychedelics Design, a platform exploring the intersection of psychedelics and design, is proud to announce the launch of the Psychedelics Design Awards 2026—the second edition of the world’s first design competition dedicated to recognising creative excellence in the psychedelics space. This year, COOL HUNTING is a media partner for the awards and our own Josh Rubin is a judge.
Whether you’re a designer, artist, researcher, musician, storyteller or community builder, there’s a category for your work. Nine award categories, now including Art & Photography, celebrate the full breadth of creativity in this emerging field:
- Architectural & Space
- Art & Photography (NEW this year)
- Experimental
- Educational & Community Impact
- Music & Sound
- Products & Services
- Storytelling
- Visual Design & Branding
- Mushroom of the Year (This is the only free-to-enter category and is open to the public to nominate and vote for their favourite individual contributing to the field)
The Psychedelics Design Awards are open to all organisations and individuals, including companies, students, artists and professionals working across design, art, research, community and care. Entries are evaluated on core principles including functionality, transformative potential, impact, empathy, thoughtfulness, innovation and harmony.
Wondering what or whether to enter? Here’s a video highlighting some of last year’s winners.
Winners and finalists will be announced in October and again celebrated at the Psychedelics Design Online Conference, 6–7 November, 2026—a two‑day gathering exploring the theme “Creative Biome.” Confirmed speakers include neuroscientist Robin Carhart‑Harris, PhD (UCSF) and Zoe Wilder in exclusive conversation with Rick Doblin, PhD.
Submissions are open 1 February to 1 July, 2026. Apply now: www.psychedelics.design/awards. A limited number of submission scholarships are also available for applicants facing financial barriers. Please reach out to info@psychedelics.design to request support.
COOL HUNTING readers, take note: use code COOLHUNTING26 for a 30% discount off the submission fee.
