Fans of bold, rock n' roll jewelry will be excited learn that cult jewelry store The Great Frog recently joined the 21st century by launching an online store that carries. This family business, located just off London's bustling Carnaby Street, has been catering to a wide range of rockin' clients—from your average leather-clad biker to stars such as James Hetfield of Metallica, members of Iron Maiden, Johnny Depp and more recently Pete Doherty and model Alice Dellal—since 1972.
Cool Hunting and The Great Frog have in common a penchant for skull designs. As Josh Rubin said not so long ago, "to me they transcend fad, and I know I'm not alone." The loud and proud rock n' roll aesthetic doesn't seem to date, but just gets reborn with each new generation of extroverts that comes along.
In fact, this new move for Great Frog comes with Reino Lehtonen-Riley taking over the running of the store from his father Patterson who founded it. Reino's design work has fostered great collaborations with contemporary brands such as Paul + Joe and Swarovski, continuing The Great Frog's ride into the future.
