Roka Wind Down Glasses

Sleep feels increasingly like the hardest health target to achieve. The reason: our phones, screens and the wake-making blue light emitted by them is in direct conflict with our body chemistry. A great solution we’ve tried recently is Roka’s red lens Wind Down glasses that cut short-wavelength green and blue light. The (Golf) Divot Tool

Divot tools allow players to repair the divot their ball creates when landing or from a club hitting the ball and taking a little bit of grass along with it. These tools come in single or double prong and though Discommon makes both, but we’re told that greenskeepers tend to prefer single prong as they cause less damage to the grass’s root system. The Divot Tool has a nice hand feel, is smoothly machined, heavy in the hand and the little oval is a ball market (and excellent fidget tool). Knit in LA from washable Japanese wool, this 50” x  60” blanket is inspired by mesas near the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. “Sunrise and sunset are my canvases, they fill me with endless hues and curiosity,” says artist DY Begay who is also one of the founders of HOSH, an online platform for Native American artists to feature and sell their work.

Ventana Redwood Surfboard

A truly special collaboration between Lind electric surfboards and master artisan Martijn Stiphout of Ventana Surfboards, the Ventana Redwood surfboard consists of a Lind electric surfboard cartridge wrapped in a very custom, year-in-the-making wood surround. This very special board features not just beautiful repurposed wood, but wood with a story. The centerpiece of the board is made from the Western Flyer, a boat chartered by author John Steinbeck in 1940 for an expedition in the Sea of Cortez. The board comes complete with all components (drivetrain, remote, charger, board bag, deck pad, fins…) and measures 6’3″ × 21″ × 6″ and 66 liters. The lucky owner of this unique piece will finalize all details with Lind.

Sender IN Hooded Jacket

The Sender IN Jacket, available in men’s and women’s sizing, uses a proprietary material called LOOPINSULATION to create a warm jacket out of materials otherwise destined for landfill. When combining polyester rope production waste with recycled plastic, the Mammut team discovered that the resulting insulation clusters had an ideal loft and warmth level, even in wet conditions. Compared to traditional poly-fill production, LOOPINSULATION creates 48% less manufacturing emissions—another plus. With a regular fit that’s comfortable for everyday wear, the added touch of stretch in its recycled shell won’t restrict during more active endeavors like hiking and skiing. Down typically loses its insulation factor when it gets wet, so if unreliable weather is in the cards, the Sender IN’s PFC-free water-resistant layer repels rain and snow without the use of nasty non-biodegradable compounds. Available in a mix of bright and neutral colorways, this might just be the sustainable cold-weather staple we’ve been looking for.
