Launching today, Esspo is a new carbonated coffee-based beverage that’s not too sweet and designed as a new option for your afternoon pick-me-up drink. The founders’ goal (the team includes two of the founders of Refinery29) was to create a refreshing drink with natural ingredients that had enough stimulating ingredients to help you get over your mid-afternoon hump. It “sips like a soda, caffeinates like cold brew, and hits that just-right balance of fizz, flavor and feel-good energy.” The variety pack includes four cans each of Classic Vanilla, Sweet Lemon and Cherry Vanilla.

Ora’s chef-crafted organic vegan protein powders keep it clean and natural, focusing on delivering clean protein alongside complementary ingredients that include all nine essential amino acids, digestive enzymes, greens and superfoods. You’ll recognize everything on the label, and won’t find any fillers, artificial ingredients or stevia. We prefer the unsweetened and unflavored version which lets our own smoothie ingredients shine through, though other flavors and monk fruit-sweetened options are available. Bee Grateful Farm hand makes their tasty honey-sweetened caramels in Colorado. The Chocolate Peanut Crunch Caramels are our favorite (though the others are also worth trying out too). Perfectly sized with just the right blend of salty, sweet, crunchy and creamy, and well-balanced between the peanuts, honey-sweetened caramel, cocoa and salt hits every mark. We usually have notes. But we don’t have any here. Price is for one package with ten caramels.

A collaboration between Selahatin, Sweden’s luxury natural oral care company, and Rick Owens is a delightful if spendy treat. The Rick Owens x Selahatin Collection Set includes a glass bottle of mouthwash, a tube of whitening toothpaste and a breath spray, all with the same umamitastic botanicals. The formulation features verbena, Madagascar vanilla, Sichuan pepper, juniper, dark citrus, rosemary, black pepper and peppermint, which fills your mouth with a range of sensations. They say that “the result is ritual stripped to essence, elevated to devotion,” and we think that’s pretty accurate. It’s an indulgence for you, and a great gift for the fashion forward friend who’s lucky to have you in their life.

We’ve been fans of Blue Bottle Coffee since we first wrote about them in 2006. The Oakland start up has grown into a multinational brand with a large corporate owner, yet has still retained its soul as a craft brand. Their Bright instant coffee was released in October 2024 and is available in both single use packets and a 15 serving jar. Alongside our constant search for the best coffee wherever we travel, we’ve come to rely on Blue Bottle’s Bright Craft Instant Coffee to fill in the gaps, The flexible light roast supports your preferred brewing method and works just as well in cold water as it does in hot, with or without milk. The 60g jar delivers 15 servings.

Apple’s new AirTag looks identical to the original, but nearly everything that matters has been upgraded. Powered by Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, the latest model extends Precision Finding range by up to 50 percent, adds a significantly further Bluetooth detection range and introduces a speaker that’s 50 percent louder, making misplaced items easier to locate by sound alone. For the first time, Precision Finding also works directly from Apple Watch Series 9 and later, bringing haptic guidance to the wrist. Despite the internal overhaul, pricing remains unchanged at $29 for a single tag or $99 for a four-pack. Side by side, the only way to tell the new AirTag from the original is a subtle detail on the stainless steel back: the etched text appears in ALL CAPS on the new model, while the previous generation uses Title Case.

From Weber Workshops, one of our favorite coffee gear makers, The RoadRunner is a new travel- and outdoor-friendly version of their The BIRD no bypass, filter and vacuum brewing machine, created to deliver a range of coffee expressions; it’s not a French press as one may easily assume. Led by Doug Weber, a former Apple designer and coffee nerd, the Japanese company’s gear is beautifully designed and exactingly engineered. The RoadRunner shares The BIRD’s DNA, but in a lighter weight and travel-friendly (yet still durable) design, and features the same Pod (a stainless steel mesh filter and custom Abaca paper filter), carafe (holds the ground coffee and water) and the Gizmo (the crown and claw plunger). The vacuum system is designed to allow full control over your hot or cold preparation of choice (from seconds to hours) and lets you use a much wider range of grind size, providing substantially more options for the brew you desire and enabling you to extract more flavor than in a traditional press. When ready, you simply rotate the wing nut to start filtration. Most importantly, because the brewed coffee is separated from the grounds you avoid both bitterness and over-extraction. The RoadRunner can make up to 350ml per brew.

The companion book to the show at SCAD’s museums, André Leon Talley: Style is Forever celebrates the improbable achievements of one of fashion’s most influential people of the last century. If you ever crossed paths with André he truly was larger than life—a style icon, creative director, fashion and cultural savant. Diana Vreeland famously said “You had to hire André. He was the only person who knew more about fashion than I do.” The exhibit and book follow André’s personal and professional journey, and his decades-long, deep connection to SCAD, honored by his bequest of his personal belongings. His influence at some of the most highly regarded fashion publications, both privately and publicly, helped shape fashion for decades. The book brings you along for his work and journey, alongside the many who were touched by his gifts.

A few steps off a busy street in Mumbai you’ll find yourself in a chic small neighborhood where we discovered, and fell in love with, Call of the Valley. They make natural fragrances and sell beatifully made clothing and accessories too. Our favorite we discovered that afternoon is this natural, hand rolled Frankincense, which gives a more complex aroma than the plant resin itself with citrus and wood notes. It’s a great introduction to the brand.
