Wolves is a dynamic force in American single malt whiskey, with Master Distiller Marko Karakasevic making a single barrel of distillate a day in a single alembic pot still in California. Editions are made from a lot of ten barrels made over a ten day period. The American Single Malt, 11 Year was distilled in 2012, aged in new American oak with a range of toast levels, and bottled in 2023 from nine of the ten barrels, with the tenth being held for a special single cask release. The liquid is fruit forward, spicy, with oats, caramel, and honey notes and a long finish. From the heavy, French-cut glass bottle to the hand applied sheepskin label and maple capped cork stopper these truly hand-crafted bottles and the considered spirit inside make this a unique and limited opportunity for passionate collectors and enthusiasts.

Respoke makes footwear (and other products) from upcycled designer silk scarves (mostly Hermès, Gucci, Pucci, McQueen and Louis Vuitton). What started with espadrilles has expanded to include sneakers, wedges and mules. Because the source material is a scarf each shoe is unique, with some pairs offering nearly symmetrical designs and others a complimentary pairing of the source material’s pattern. The shoes are sustainably handmade in family-owned workshops in Spain using natural materials including jute and rubber; the silk is adhered with heat and stitching—no glue is needed. Left over material (along with recovered material from worn shoes) is then used by company co-founder Chris Bartick in his artworks ensuring that waste is kept to a minimum.
